Small fret work Mirror. Simulated burr walnut
This is a charming little fret work framed dressing mirror.
It is made of soft wood and painted to simulate burr walnut veneers.
It is early Georgian in design with a broken curved arch pediment and truly reflects both the construction and architectural style of mirrors of that period. It was probably made later, in the early 19th Century.
Original silvered glass plate. Reflection is true and bright. Some corroded spots
Totally original throughout, the backboards and nails have never been disturbed.
Dimensions: 20.5 inches high, 19.25 inches wide
