A fine Quality English Pair Cased Verge Fusee pocket Watch with full Hallmarks for London 1840, both the out and inner case hallmarks match
Made by William Fowle of Uckfield Sussex listed in Loomes watch directory
The watch is working fine having just been serviced recently, movement all striped down and cleaned
Silver cases fits well together and still with side press button , Bulls eye watch glass with bezelled edge and probably the original , no cracks or chip , usual age marks to the glass
White dial in excellent condition no cracks or chip , with black numerial and gold hands
Beautiful balance cock and train driven fusee movement with good strong tick
Nice to have the old repair papers still with the watch, original silver top loop
The case does have a bruise above the 12 O'clock but does not soil this lovely watch in any way Makers name engraved on the dial , comes with watch key
Watch size out case 57mm diameter inner case 50mm diameter
