A very original Scottish mahogany longcase clock. It has a drumhead hood, with a traditional Scottish solid mahogany keyhole design trunk. The white cicular dial has subsidiary second and date dials and is signed by the makers J&W Orr of Airdrie. It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a bell.The hood has a removable carved pediment.(Scotland, c. 1850)
