Beautiful Sampson Mordan scales and weights dating to the 1860s. As can be seen in the photos, the scales are in excellent condition with no dents or scratches. The scales are two shades of brass with the base having a more reddish hue. Either side of the receptacle for the weights are Scottish agate cabochons which are free from chips or scratches. The weights are also Mordan ascending from 8P, 4P, 2P, 1P, F and finishing with the F topper weight. The base of the scales measures 16.3 x 11.2cm. The scales stand 13.5cm in height and are 20cm in length including the weighing platforms.
