Antique quality Regency 19C cheval mirror with a Trafalgar twist frame.

This is a lovely mirror, that is full of age, charm and character, with great proportions.

A rare and impressive find.

Stands on period brass castors (some wear as you would expect).

Overall maximum dimensions 90.5cmW x 66cmD x 160.5cmH, mirrored area 63cmW x 115cmH.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There is some minor oxidation and a few scratches/marks on the mirrored glass, but not too much.....we are unsure whether this is the original pivot mirror for the frame. There are steel strengthening straps to the underside of the feet. This cheval mirror has had alteration and restoration over the years, but it still retains a certain magnificence, grace and charm. The pivot screws are dissimilar and the threads are worn, but the mirror holds its position quite well.
