are 18th century French 18k gold (rose and yellow) pocket watch, decorated with rubies and turquoise stones. The fusee movement is inscribed ‘Delaporte à Rouen No 62’ and is similar to watches made by Abraham Vacheron Girod (see tantalumwatches on Ebay, item no. 363297540855).

The case is in perfect condition with no missing stones or damage. The rear plate is not hinged – clips on securely and doesn’t appear to have had a hinge. Lovely gold enamel dial with blued steel hands. Overall the watch is in superb condition with no damage, unmarked glass, in excellent working condition with key. Diameter 39mm, weight 40g.

A magnificent collector’s timepiece.
