Post Office Fusee Dial Wall Clock - 10 Inch

For your consideration I am delighted to offer this extremely fine example of an English eight day G.P.O fusee wall clock. This piece is in extremely good condition and exudes quality in every aspect.
This is clock style number 3 according to GPO records, with the ten inch dial. The movement is manufactured by the famous Stockall Marples and Co and this clock dates from 1955.
The lovely English fusee movement has rectangular plates with an anchor escapement and has been fully overhauled so benefits from my three year guarantee.
The mahogany case has fantastic colour and patination since its restoration which revealed well-made dovetailed joints and brass screws to the back box. The circular surround is pegged to the back box in the usual classic manner. There is a stabilising bracket to the lower part of the case and the bezel and glass frame the restored dial and original spade hands perfectly. The movement retains its original numbered identification to the back plate and there is a latch tab to securely lock the bezel in place.
This is a truly stunning clock in gorgeous condition and it’s one of many fusee clocks I have coming onto the market.
Clockwise specialises in longcase and bracket clocks and with clients from the world of business, film, sport, royalty and aristocracy - yet more than happy with traditional clients - Clockwise has an unrivalled reputation for excellence and superb service.
