Circa 1950s, pair of oak display cabinets. Both with presentation plaques as follows:
‘Presented by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester/From the Collection of Her Royal Highness Princess Marie Louise’ and ‘Presented by The Collings Family/To Contain Fans from the Collection Given to the Company by Past Master W. Bernard Ross Collins’
Bespoke-made for a fan collection, they have carved pediments in the shape of fans, with foliate casting and C-scrolls and beneath is a glazed door, opening to reveal adjustable glass shelves. Standing on elaborate enclosed plinths, with double locking doors for security.
