These are a pair of dark patinated Bronze Figurines of Ladies playing with Two Children. They are a true pair, as shown, and are presented on stepped, circular, black and white marble bases. Each of the ladies are wearing flowing dresses and have their hair up. They are both holding skipping ropes and have a child on each side of them. The base of each one is signed Dumaige in lower case. The marble bases are baized.

There is a French sculptor by the name of Henri Etienne Dumaige 1830-1888, so these may be an after cast of one of his works, but we cannot authenticate this. His signature can be H. Dumaige in capitals or lower case and we have found other bronzes simply signed Dumaige on the web.

Height: 17 inches - 43.15cm -

Diameter of base: 7 1/2 inches - 19cm

Weight: Approximately 9kg each.

Condition: There is no damage and the bases have no chips or cracks.
