Model 1817/1869 Infantry Hanger
This hanger was based on the French Napoleonic sabre-briquet. Large numbers were captured by German forces during the Napoleonic wars and subsequently used by their troops. It was also extensively copied by German sword makers and carried throughout the 19th century by many other European nations. Condition is not too good with the blade showing rubbing and stains but there is no serious pitting. This type of weapon is often found in poor state and without its scabbard. You must be over the age of 18 years to buy this hanger. Post cost will be twelve pounds.
