A lovely example from the Volnay range. A long dining table and 6 matching dining chairs designed by John J.Herbert for A.Younger Ltd c.1960 with solid Afromosia frames. The dining chairs have been newly, professionally reupholstered in a black boucle fabric which works very well with the set. A.Younger believed in quality not quantity preferring to keep the production numbers low and enjoyed a loyal following during the 60s and 70s. Both the chairs and the table have an attractive shape and gentle hints of the era in their design.

The set survives in fine order having one previous owner and the Afromosia is still deep and intense in colour. As mentioned the seats are newly upholstered and we have lightly repolished the solid frames on the chairs to enhance the dense grain. The solid table also survives in fine order with gentle wear with only the odd mark or two but nothing nasty.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
