Mid Century Light Mahogany Double Bed Frame
A lovely double bed frame. We date this bed to the mid 20th century.
The bed comes in four sections, the head and footboards, the metal side rails and a sprung base.
The head and footboard sit on rectangular section legs. The sprung base sits within the side rails.
The headboard and footboard both have vertical spars with a scalloped internal edge.
The headboard has a height of 42" (107cm) and the footboard has a height of 27" (69cm), both by 55.5" (141cm) wide. The base will support a mattress 75" (191cm) long by 54" (137cm) wide.
This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The frame has some light wear with a few minor marks and indentations to the finish, this is primarily at the rear of the headboard.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
