A good-sized Luristan bronze arrowhead with central strengthening rib, the body ending in shallow barbs, and a tang for fixing to the wooden shaft. Supplied with a modern acrylic display stand.
Iron age I: Circa 900-700 BC.

Length 16 cms (6.3 ins)

Excellent condition: Complete and intact, with pale green patina and light accretions.

(Throughout the Ancient World, from Greece to Persia, battles raged. The skilled Ancient Persian craftsmen developed great skill in bronze working, producing some of the finest weaponry then available).

Provenance: Ex RS. Collection purchased on UK art market 1990-2006

Antiquities are precious, and we send all items with insurance and tracking where possible, which is also reflected in the shipping cost.

An item found to be unsatisfactory may be returned to TimesAncient for a full refund within 14 days of receipt, provided it is returned in the same condition as sent.
The Buyer will bear responsibility for return shipping costs, safe packing and insurance.
