Large Swiss made open face pocket watch 'made expressly for H. Ritz, Halifax, N.S.' and dating to c1910. Measures 55mm in diameter.

Condition:

Dial - white enamel signed 'H. Ritz, Halifax, N.S.' with black Roman numerals, red 5 minute track, fancy pierced gilt hands and sub. seconds dial. In excellent condition having no hairlines, chips or discolouration.

Case - warranted B&B 'Royal' 20 year gold filled with excellent hand engraved back cover showing virtually no signs of wear. The band with beaded decoration. The dust and back covers open to just under 90 degrees and have a firm feel about them and the hinges are very good.

Movement - Swiss jeweled, lever escapement with split bi-metallic compensated balance. In good condition (has a movement/case screw missing) and working although it runs slow suggesting that it needs servicing. It is signed 'Made Expressly For H. Ritz, Halifax, N.S.' and numbered '1550355'.
