Large Regency Gilded Girandole Wall Mirror c.1820. %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Large Regency period wall mirror c.1830. Original 29″ x 39″ mirror plate within broad moulded and gilded gesso frame with candle sconces or girandole. Decorated with ears of wheat and delicate frieze of scrolling foliage and laurel leaves topped with a scallop shell. A few missing portions of gesso and some and earlier repairs. Minor tarnish to the mirror. Otherwise in superb original condition, retaining the original gilding.
Dimensions: width 41″, depth 5″, height 60″.
