John Hardache of Rodley Longcase Clock
A very nice longcase clock by John Hardacre of Rodley (Leeds) . With eight day movement and rolling moon to the arched dial . Hardache is a recorded maker and seemed to be working in the Leeds area during the late eighteenth century.
The oak case is typical to other cases from the area and is in very fine condition . With swan neck pediment ,flame mahogany decoration ,quarter columns to the trunk and standing on bracket feet .
The eight day movement is in very good working order the dial is of a very high standard and would have been bought in by the clockmaker possibly from the Birmingham area though dial makers were recorded as working in other major cities .
