A quality English pocket barometer. A brass case with bronze patination. A silvered dial signed 'J H Steward, 406 Strand & 457 West Strand, London, 4093' covered by bevelled glass. A rotating calibrated bezel. J H Steward were listed as working at 457 West Strand from 1886 to 1900, and at 406 Strand from 1857 to 1900. Circa 1890.
