A huge Regency antique gilt mirror. This large proportioned Regency gilt mirror is made using carved pine and gesso. All the original period gold leaf is intact beneath a slightly later thin bronze finish. This elegant antique mirror features original, acanthus leaf decoration. Complete with the period plate glass mirror, which is in very good condition. We have hand scraped layers of later paint to reveal the present finish. The back of the antique mirror is solid panelled pine. A superb, over sized antique gilt mirror. English. circa 1812.
