This is a very good standard king size French sleigh double bed. It has been painted white in the factory and I would imagine was made in the last twenty years. The bed has a lot of quality. It is large and robust and is very beautiful with its sweeping curves. I have a similar bed on Ebay this week. Do check out sellers other items.

The bed comes with its original long French screws and it bolts together tightly. You will need to get some slats cut to go across the bed and a centre pole to form a base for your mattress. These are readily available from any builders merchants and are inexpensive. The bed takes a standard king size mattress. Dimensions below.

The bed is in good condition. Minor crack on top of side bar. Not structurally significant. See photo. Scuffing as you would expect in a vintage bed. A patch on the headboard repainted - see photo.

This is a very romantic looking bed. It would have cost a small fortune new. It will look wonderful in a modern or antique setting.

The bed splits for transport.

The bed takes a king size mattress up to 61 inches wide and 78 inches long. The headboard is 40 inches high and the footboard is 31 inches high.
