Circa 1870. A good George III style mahogany and fretwork mirror. The top with a gilded and pierced Ho-Ho bird, surrounded by stylish fretwork. The base with similar fretwork and a large oval shell, the original mirror contained in a carved and gilded gesso slip, rounded on the top and square at the corners, held in a mahogany frame which follows the form of the mirror.
