George III cosh God Save the King cosh truncheon police
An 19th century cosh of lovely colour with rather nicely time worn paint. Written along the length is the remnants of God Save the King - there would have been a Royal Crest at the top and the traces can still be seen.

It have nice patination and good signs of original wear. There is a shrinkage crack to one side, probably consistent with the use of green timber for making the piece.
