G Plan Fresco Teak Sideboard, 1970 Mid Century
A teak sideboard dating from 1970, designed by Victor Wilkins for G Plan. This handsome unit provides excellent storage without dominating a room. Part of the ever-popular Fresco range, it features distinctive wide handles and excellent build quality.
Dimensions: Width 188cm, Height 120cm, Depth 46cm.
The sideboard has 2 cupboards in the lower section, both with adjustable shelves, as well as 3 drawers, the top one lined with felt and with teak dividers for cutlery. The top section has a drinks cabinet with glass shelf on the right, and on the left a cupboard with adjustable shelf, concealed by a sliding door. The middle has an adjustable display shelf. The sideboard was known as model 4074, and first featured in the G Plan New Models Folder in 1970.
The sideboard has been fully restored and is in very good vintage condition. There are minor marks to the wood, the most significant being on the side (please see last 2 pictures).
