A very handsome early Victorian campaign style desk or table box. The exotic (and expensive) Rosewood is bound in solid brass with a folding military cast flush handle to the top.

The interior has been re-lined in a hand-marbled paper, perfect for home office for storing all sorts of paraphernalia.

Dating to around 1840, the box remains in excellent condition. 11 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 5".
