Early 19th Cent Oak Rocking Ship Longcase Clock


A lovely little "Rocking Ship" longcase clock by Bartley & Eggert of Bristol, Somerset. They are listed as working there from 1810 to 1815.
The case is in oak and is super quality and a lovely colour.
The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive painted dial. To the arch is a painted steel cut out of a galleon in full sail that rocks in time with the swing of the pendulum.
The case is in excelent condition. The movement is also in good condition and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
212cm (83.5") high
52cm (20.5") wide
25cm (10") deep
