This ebonised Victorian mantel clock is a sophisticated piece featuring an attractive enamelled dial with Roman numerals, stamped by D Robertson of Perth, successor to J.U.A McNab. It boasts an eight-day French movement that chimes a delightful tone at the hour and half-hour mark on a bell. The drumhead's front and rear are protected by thick bevelled glass, set within substantial brass bezels, and the clock is in excellent working condition. As Christmas quickly approaches, a timepiece like this would make an excellent gift for the special man in your life.
