A superb quality & most attractive 8 day moonphase longcase clock by ‘Chas Lunan of Aberdeen’. The 5 pillar movement striking the hours on a bell. The pretty 12” dial with moon, calendar & seconds- also dated 1778 with first owners name (?) ‘Alexander Nicol’. Well proportioned quality mahogany case with box/satin wood stringing, reeded ¼ columns & quality paterae & Corinthian capitals.
