1860s Carved Meerschaum "Topless Negress Maiden" Very Rare Pipe in Original Case
This is without doubt one of the nicest and rarest Meerschaums out there, it is modelled as a Topless Negress Maiden the quality of teh carving is amazing and no photos can do her justice, her face and hair are truly brilliant, a wonderful shaped pipe. In its original leather case. It is without doubt a museum quality piece. Any nudity etc holds a premium but wow this is a highly rare and sort after subject matter, I believe it to be a commissioned piece.
No chips, no cracks to the bowl - overall great order, please see photos as these form part of the description.
