A distinctive Ilona sofa, designed by Arne Norell (1917-1971) in the early 1960s and produced by Norell AB in Aneby, Sweden. Constructed from a light beech frame terminating in gently outward-curving uprights held together by stout tan leather straps & brass buckles with a canvass sling seat base supporting the well-padded, sumptuous cushions newly recovered in a top quality light tan leather.
The two-seater frame of this vintage item is exceptionally good, sound with minimal scuffing on the terminals and the newly reupholstered cushions are in exceptionally pristine condition making this an extremely comfortable and attractive mid-20th century modern sofa.
