A wonderful quality narrow tall English 19th century Georgian type Victorian gilt wood pier console table wall over mantle looking glass. This overmantel gilt mirror retains its original silver backed mirror plate and panelled back boards. The whole has been water gilded in a 24 carat gold leaf and not the inferior oil gilding. Circa 1860. Measures 68”h x 40”w x 2”d ( glass measures 64”h x 34.5”w). Excellent condition.
