Antique silver pocket watch, circa 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around four minutes or so over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover with various details of the movement in French / Swiss there are a couple of small ‘dings’ to this inner cover.
The watch is larger than a standard 50mm pocket watch at 59mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver and there are Continental marks inside both of the case backs. There are a few ‘dings’ to the bezel. The case back is nicely detailed with an image of flowers and foliage - there is unevenness to the case back.
The glass is in good order.
The enamel dial has an image of an eagle on a horizontal anchor which is similar to the US Navy insignia, or the US coastguard. There is some damage on number 8, and a few fairly faint hairline cracks radiating out from the centre. Lovely ornate hands which are initially set by way of the pin-set mechanism.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE.
