Antique Mahogany Musical Longcase Clock
A very attractive longcase clock dating from the 19th Cent with a musical movement chiming on the quarters on a carillon of 8 bells (either Westminster of Whittington chimes) and striking the hour on an additional bell. Click on video to hear chime.
The case is in beautifully figured mahogany, it has retained its original finish and is a beautiful colour.
The 8 day movement has a most attractive brass dial with a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. In addition to the chime selector it also has a strike / silent selector.
The movement is in good working order and is complete with pendulum and 3 weights.
The case is in very good condition with only a few minor signes of age and use.
The maximum dimensions are:
215cm (84.5“) high
55cm (21.5“) wide
27cm (10.5“) deep
