This is an antique tribal Kashgai carpet from West Persia which dates from the late 19th century. The carpet has much charm and is quite fine as these woollen carpets go. It has a pretty triple lozenge design set within a coral field filled with floral motifs and a very subtle and pleasing colour palette. It is in excellent order for its age with even wear overall and selvedges complete. The carpet measures 175 cms by 133 cms.
