Large antique Sheraton style mahogany breakfront open bookcase, with some fine inlays of satinwood & other exotic woods. It's in excellent condition, having just been French polished & I would date it to around the 1950-60's period. This is a well made piece of antique furniture & not one of those massed produced new models that are flooding the market. The top section below the cornice has some beautiful inlays right across & there are satinwood inlaid landings going down all the uprights. The bookshelves & the inside compartments are all polished. The shelves have reeded edges. They are all individually adjustable inside each compartment & sit on sharks teeth supports. This bookcase is great looking & holds a surprisingly large amount of books.
