This is an antique gentleman's cribbage case. An English, rosewood and brass card game box, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
Beautifully presented case for spontaneous hands of cribbage
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present superb grain interest and deep caramel hues
Striking bleached pearwood and boxwood inlay to the counter board top
Lid held closed with a pair of rotating brass clasps
Opens to reveal two decks of playing cards and counter compartment
Dressed with attractive marbled paper to the lid interior and card compartments
Standing upon a quartet of brass ball feet with warm golden tones
