Antique English silver half hunter pocket watch
Antique English silver half hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed underneath the dial with the letter S inside a star, the mark for the Coventry movement manufacturer H Williamson. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the back covers for London 1905 with a case maker’s mark for the London watch case maker Albert Thomas Oliver. The case is in lovely condition.
The case and movement are not original to each other but of around the same age.
The front cover has blue enamel filled Roman numerals surrounding a small central lens. The winding crown pushes in to open this front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition (some reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is in lovely condition with pin-set blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
