Antique 1903 Waltham half hunter pocket watch
Antique 1903 Waltham half hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 420, which is working nicely. The handsomely patterned movement is fully signed and the serial number 12,178,576 dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a few scratches.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold plated and overall it is in good condition for such an early piece, there are two or three slight indentations and the odd minor marking but nothing too serious at all.
The front cover has a small lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. The front cover is opened by pressing the winding crown in. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailers of the watch, Harris & Waddington of Uxbridge. There is a short faint hairline between 11 and 12 but other than that, the dial is in lovely condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE.
