An excellent longcase clock by Howden of Edinburgh

The makers name and place of work is shown to the centre of the dial. James & William Howden, Edinburgh.
The excellent quality mahogany veneered case has well figured fiddleback veneers to both the trunk door and base. Cross banded mahogany veneers is also a feature used throughout the case along with reeded quarter columns with wooden capitals and a full length trunk door.
