African Knife/Dagger, Silver Binding to Hilt.
African Knife/dagger, possibly Sudanese. Early 19th century. Well forged blade, cutting edges to each side. Hardwood handle, split and repaired using silver wire sometime in antiquity, the silver binding wire displays some surface flattening, indicating a long period of handling and use, all in all a sound item and ready to display.
CONDITION: Sound condition, surface tarnish. wear marks commensurate with age.
