1960s Volnay Dining Table & Six Chairs
Produced by A Younger Limited, particularly noted for their high-end, fine quality furniture and sold through retailers such as Heals. this lovely draw-leaf extending dining table was designed by John Herbert, in the modernist Scandinavian mid-20th century style and known as the Volnay range. Table comprises two draw-leaves and a veneered teak surface (each within an afromosia edged band) raised on an afromosia frame together with a set of six sturdy dining chairs also made from afromosia.
The very generous dining chair seats have been completely reupholstered and the whole set is in beautiful vintage condition having no loose joints and only minimal scuffing due to the strength of the afromosia and clearly very careful usage.
