A Large Gilt Arched Over Mantle Mirror

A Large Gilt Arched Over Mantle Mirror with a 3” moulded frame and decorative mouldings to the top and bottom sides

The over mantle as it name implies was made to sit over the mantel piece and as so many fireplaces are opposite the window Mirrors were used to reflect more light into the room

This is not a new piece it has a few signs of wear but it is otherwise a charming piece of shabby and chic gilt furnishing, the looking glass is good
