This is a lovely oval 19th Century gilt, reeded Mirror with a Ribbon Surmount.

The Mirror has a cushion profile which is reeded and has a beaded inner edge. The wired ribbon surmount is in the shape of a double bow. The mirror may have been replaced at same stage in the past, as it isn't bevelled. However, it would be a very attractive addition to any room, as well as being a useful size.

Mirror glass size: 20 7/8 x 173/4 inches - 63cm x 45.2cm

Heaight to top of Bow. 26 3/4 inches

Maximum width: 20 3/4 inches - 51.8cm

Height of oval excluding bow: 23 1/4 inches - 59cm

Materials: Wood, Glass and Plaster.

Condition: Very good. The actual mirror frame is in very good condition, as is the ribbon surmount, although it has the odd fine crack in the plaster which is common with these mirrors. However, the ribbon bow is firmly fixed.There is no damage or loss of silvering on the glass.
