we have for sale a good example of a Parker 51 Fountain pen dating from sometime between 1950 and 1954.

In the early 1950s, the Parker 51 was available in 5 colours, Black, Burgundy, Teal Blue, Forest Green and navy Grey. Of the 5 colours, the navy Grey is the rarer. This example dating from the first half of the 1950s is in the rarer navy grey and is finished with a Lustraloy lid with the transitional clip suggesting a manufacture date of around 1950. The pen is fitted with a lovely smooth medium to fine hooded 14Kt nib and the very reliable Aerometric filling system. Both the nib and filler are very good condition.

The pen is in an excellent condition, although the lid does carry some signs of wear particularly around the tip of the clip which has rubbed against the Lustraloy lid as a result of being frequently placed and removed from an inside jacket pocket. The clip is also a little off centre because of this.
