A very smart 18th Cent mahogany longcase clock in the “Chinese Chippendale” taste by T Rudd of Warminster. The case is excellent quality and has many Chippendale features, particularly on the hood. It has smart gilt bronze Corinthian capitals and lots on very smart carved details. The trunk and hood doors have working locks and keys
The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a nice engraved silvered dial with moon phase indicator to the arch. It has a pair of brass cased weight, pendulum and winding key.
The case is in excellent condition. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time. The dial has some age related marks but could be re-silvered at no extra cost if required.
