A Guide to Using Search
Simply enter whatever you're looking for in the search box to the left and click the Search button.
For more advanced searches, you may want to use the options outlined below to narrow down your search and improve the results.
Enter keywords as your search critera
Enter basic keywords to search on.
You may leave this blank if you want to search for anything within specified price or distance ranges, see below.
Selecting Antiques as the search area
To focus your search on a particular area, select either Antiques, Dealers, Fairs or Everything if you want to search the lot.
Searching for specific Ceramics
If you selected Antiques above, you can narrow down the search further by picking a particular category of antique that you're interested in.
For example, you might want to search for a specific ceramic. To do this you would enter what it is you're looking for, say, 'doulton', pick Antiques as the area of interest and Ceramics in the category menu.
Searching for Victorian Antiques
We can also focus the search to specific dates. Just select the period you're interested in from the drop down menu, or if you want to search across all, select all periods.
Use the price slider to specify a price range
When searching for aniques you will be able to set a minimum and maximum price. Just use the price slider to select the price range.
A good tip is to leave the search box empty, this will retrieve all antiques that match your selected category and price range. In this case all furniture between £1300 and £3600 would be shown.
Searching for items within 15 miles of Manchester
We can even add a location to the search mix. Enter either a postcode or a city and use the miles slider to set the distance range. Results will be shown from dealers that are based within the distance of location specified.
All these options can be combined. For example, you could search for all Ceramics under £100 that are near to Manchester, maybe 19th Century Mantel Clocks under £2000, Any Oak, Antique Furniture, under £3000, within 60 miles of Bristol or how about all Antiques Under £100 plus many other combinations.
