Mid Victorian (circa 1840-1860) bar back 'Oxford' chair from the High Wycombe area

Widely produced in the mid to late 19th century and often referred to as an ‘Oxford’ chair but made in numerous workshops by different craftsmen throughout Buckinghamshire and the region.

No obvious makers mark, Good colour and patina, stable, solid joints, no damage and or worm. Two small and very neat repairs to the top of the LHS arm support (see photographs).
Wear to the finish commensurate with age. Presented cleaned and re waxed
