A pair (identical and by the same maker) of early 20th century Smokers Bow chairs in Beech and Elm. Makers mark to rear of seat pads. These chairs have wide and deep seats, making them both comfortable and versatile. Both retain their original finishes which varies in depth and coverage. Patina to the arms, side spindles and the back rests, where the finish has worn over the years. Free from damage or worm, one 'anti wobble' extension to the front leg of one of the chairs which is very stable (see photographs), general wear commensurate with age. Solid and robust, presented cleaned and waxed.
