Description

A delightful mahogany cased French Arts & Crafts mantel clock by Marti & Cie of Paris. The case has some lovely wood columns to the sides which have been turned beautifully with a raised upper pediment to the top of the case. The dial is made of glass which has its original blue and gilt painted face with the addition of a single bird in flight and flowers to the centre of the dial. Please note that the glass does have a crack through the centre, however we felt that to replace this would spoil such a beautiful looking clock. This piece strikes on the half and on the full hour. It has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. c1870
