Description

A good English fusee bracket clock. This delightful piece is late Georgian, early William IV and is beautifully inlaid with mixed woods creating a plethora of bows and swags throughout the front of the case. To the sides are fret-work panels and brass inlaid columns to the corners. The clock stands on four brass ball feet with similar styled finials to the top of the arch shaped mahogany case. There is a key to release the front and back doors. To the front is a domed glass which shows off the silvered black Roman numeral dial superbly. The 8-day mechanical movement is chain driven and is in full working condition. circa 1820-30
