Description

Possibly of American origins and mid 20th century this mahogany cheval mirror is of exceptional quality, with bold twist supports to the sides and matching stretchers top and bottom. Unusually the ornate classical feet and flaming urn finials are made from bronze and have a lovely patina. The bevelled mirror is supported by strong brass key turned clamp brackets that hold the mirror firmly even when tilted, sadly the English variation can sometimes struggle to hold in any position. This is an impressive piece that is very sturdy and will make someone a great dressing mirror. In excellent condition.
