Pair 19th Century Gilt Console Tables

Description
Pair of 19th Century Giltwood and gesso marble topped console tables dating from c 1880. The half moon thick figured marble tops above a decorative frieze supported on central column with Chippendale style Crane birds terminating with scrolled feet. The marble tops are later and there are various small losses to the decoration ( see photos) the most notable being a missing section of the left hand consoles Cranes wing. Nevertheless a magnificent and rare pair of decorative consoles.Please note. I have highlighted an area on one of the consoles where a section of the back frieze is missing. The price includes restoration to this section. A new section will be spliced in, the decoration copied, gold leaf applied and aged to match the rest of the item.
